Wilce Wallace, Sr. transitioned to Eternal Life on May 9, 2017 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, MI. He was born August 14, 1929 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Armsted Wallace and Estelle Taylor Wallace. He had 19 siblings, all of whom preceded him in death.

Wilce attended school in Vicksburg, MS. He moved to Albion, Michigan in 1952 and worked as a Laborer at both Fisher Body and Brooks. He married Florence Spicer in 1957 and they had 6 children. Four sons, John, James (deceased), Tommie, and Wilce, Jr. and two daughters, Lorraine and Karen (Candy). He and his wife were also foster parents to over 30 children; five of whom they considered their own, Kenneth Christon, Doug Davis, Chrystal Neal, Tosha Simmons, and Amanda Carter.

He accepted Christ young in life and continued his Christian journey throughout adulthood. He was a faithful member and Trustee of Bethel Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Wilce had bypass surgery in 1962, which resulted in him not being able to do strenuous labor. However, this didn't keep him from providing for his family. He went to an Upholstery Trade School in Plainwell, MI; and became one of the finest upholsterers in Albion. He also loved snow plowing, which he did every winter until his health started to fail him.

He loved to tell funny stories which were very entertaining to his family. He also loved fishing, which he and his grandson, Terrell, spent countless hours doing. He enjoyed hunting for rabbit and squirrel as well, which were two of his favorite foods. Wilce loved everybody and had no problem letting you know, as he would never let you leave his presence or end a phone conversation without saying, "I love you".

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 60 years, Florence Spicer Wallace; sons, John (Sallie) Spicer, Grand Rapids, MI; Tommie Wallace, and Wilce Wallace, Jr. both of Albion, MI daughters, Lorraine Wallace Fairley, Grand Rapids, MI; and Karen (Candy) Mitchell; granddaughters, Kimyata, Briahna, Maya, Lorea, Sherry and Latoya; grandsons, Dr. Terrell, LaVar, Tony, Tommie, John Jr., Michael, Jeremy, Octavius; 26 great-grandchildren; Rashinique and Serenity (his "babies") and 16 great-great-grandchildren; four sister-in-laws; Laree Simpson, Lula (Henderson) Harris, Geneva Coney, and Louise Miller; a very special nephew and niece, Henderson Harris, Jr. and Judy Kay Harris, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, foster children, and friends.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 12:00PM at Bethel Baptist
Church, 523 Washington Street, Albion, Michigan 49224 with family hour starting at 11:00AM prior to the service with Pastor F. H. Alexander Jr., officiating.
Interment will be at Albion Memory Gardens.
